: Clean all smegma with warm wet cotton. Apply OTC anti biotic ointment till it heals. If recurs pl see a Urologist.

Can't treat at home: A mucocele is caused by a blockage of thick mucous saliva produced by one of many small salivary glands in the lower lip. Though it might make sense to simply drain the saliva causing the cyst-like swelling of the lip, a cure of the problem is only possible by surgically removing the small gland producing the saliva that cannot drain.  See your oral surgeon while it is swollen.

possible allergy: If you are not licking your lips alot, you may be allergic to the lipstick or lip balm that you were putting on.See a dermatologist who does patch testing with the north american patch test series to see what you are allergic to. I am assuming that this is not a cold sore.

: Healing time depends in part on the cause of the fissures. You might need evaluation for genital herpes (overall the most common cause of genital ulceration, but of course dependent on current or past risk of herpes). Yeast infection also is possible. Some cases have no defined cause. Best to see your gyn ASAP for accurate diagnosis and advice. Good luck.

Unclear: Blue lips, gums or nail beds suggest low oxygen level in the blood stream. In young people it is primarily due to abnormal mixing of bood with and without oxygen in the heart. Cardiomyopathies are not typically associated with abnormal mixing of blood or low blood oxygen. A complete evaluation by a physician familiar with both congenital heart disease and cardiomyopathies would be best.

Hyperpigmentation : Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is darkening of skin after a rash such as an irritant dermatitis. Given the distribution, if the area had any irritation initially, it could be from whitening toothpaste, mouth wash, makeup, lip licking or another issue. See a dermatologist who may prescribe a treatment for irritation initially and then a fading cream for the discoloration.

No conclusive agents: Keratolytics and depigmenting creams have shown efficacy in the cosmetic treatment of acanthosis N.  The definitive treatment is to find the underlying cause and treat that cause. Examples include tumor, obesity, and drug side effects.  A few studies show the efficacy of dermabrasion.  You need a Dermatology consult to discuss pros and cons of the various options and to localize the  cause.

The Three S's: Yes. This is how medical students learn about anal fissures:
1. Soak: this means keep the torn tissue clean. Using wet wipes or soaking in the tub works.
2. Soften the stool: keeping the bowels soft so no further trauma occurs
3. Steroids: steroid cream can be used to promote rapid healing of the torn tissue.

If this does not work or the pain is intolerable a colo-rectal surgeon is next.

ive been picking my lips for years and now they are scarred. are there any treatments for cosmetic purposes of making the sores and scars look better?

Plastic surgery: I have not heard of any oral or topical medications that will help, though liquid Vitamin E has been proposed for such things in the past.  I suspect seeing a plastic surgeon would be necessary.
