Pregnant?: Pregnancy must always be a consideration.  Purchase a home pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.  If negative in one week, see your doctor.

i have abdominal bloating, diahorrea for 6 days, my period is 7 days late i have take a home pregnancy test but it has come back negative. help?

Need to examine: Diarrhea for 6 days is not a usual upset stomach and warrants an evaluation by a doctor. If you have not tried remedies like PeptoBismol or Immidium, you may wish to do that. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.  If these medications do not help, it would be time to see a doctor.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Consider SIBO: Chronic excess gas production and bloating could represent Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO).  Patients with IBS may also suffer from SIBO.  In my practice, I occasionally check for SIBO in patients with IBS and severe gas that are not responding well to a FODMAP diet and other traditional IBS treatments.

i have been suffering from chronic diarrhea mixed with nausea, abdominal bloating and painful bowel movements, for the last 6 months. i have seen 2 different gastro doctorsand have undergone numerous tests. what could it be?

What did they say?: Sounds like you've been struggling -- what have your doctors shared with you? One thought: as part of the "numerous tests" you've had, have you been through a trial of elimination diet to check for food sensitivities?  For instance, even if you don't have celiac you could still be sensitive to gluten. Or you could be dealing with ibs, needing overall program. Hoping you'll confer with local docs.

Belly bloating: There are lots of reasons for abdominal discomfort &amp; bloating, &amp; not all of them are due to the GI tract. Even "functional" syndromes may be present without underlying "disease." however psbo (paralyzed gut) due to metabolic &amp; inflammatory conditions nearby (like an untreated infection of the urinary tract)must be considered &amp; addressed. Check with your doctor for examination &amp; treatment options.

Functional/IBS:  Your symptoms appear to be related to anxiety and stress of examination aggravating these symptoms.
Multiple non specific symptoms  should be addressed particularly if they persists, since large spectrum of symptoms  are in the seting of worry over pending examination, one tends to lean towards being functional
Change in diet, visit to yourPCP for short acting anxiolytic agents, may help .

The following cause or are associated with Abdominal bloating::   Celiac Disease, Diverticulosis, Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Gastroparesis, Hairy cell leukemia, Infant feeding disorders, Irritable bowel syndrome, Jet lag, Premenstrual syndrome, Scleroderma, Silent thyroiditis, Tropical sprue, Fibroid, Colonic diseases, Diverticulitis, Gluten insensitivity, Leaky gut syndrome, Dysautonomia, Gas, Flatulence, Esophagitis, Mesothelioma, Alpha thalassemia, Thalassemia, Enlarged spleen, Gallbladder diseases.

Bloating: Don't drink fluids while eating, don't eat fast, avoid dairy products & wheat, avoid fizzy drinks & too much sugar/salt, don't chew gum, avoid apples/peaches/pears, avoid gasy foods such as beans/cabbage/onions/broccoli/asparagus/brussel sprouts, eat more fiber.

In a nutshell: The active ingredient in Gaviscon is simethacone. This is a surfactant that basically " breaks up gas bubbles" thus relieving bloating caused by "gas build up".
