Cervical mucus: Around the time of ovulation, the higher estrogen levels you have thin the cervical mucus out to the point that it is almost watery.  It allows sperms to get through the cervix and up into the uterus and fallopian tubes more easily around the best time of conception.  One of the side effects of birth control pills is thickening up this mucus.

Yes: Bbt is not very accurate to determine ovulation; however ovulation might be delayed for 1-2months after a pregnancy loss or termination ( assuming you had a D&C for pregnancy related indication).

Period: Changes in your hormones can naturally occur so if you are having a normal cycle then this my be normal and should not reoccur , however if you continue to be irregular you may need some hormonal therapy

It's not: Either the 'signs' of ovulation are not really ovulation, or the bleeding is not your period. If the bleeding is 'on-time' that's more likely correct; if the bleeding is early, the reverse.

Late period: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections ;  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Pregnancy: Your history suggests that since your last unprotected sex in April, you may have conceived during that time.
The intervening “2 periods” may have been misleading, while the newly created embryo was struggling to implant.  Perhaps this implantation has finally succeeded.  This would cause your current signs of ovulation, in absence of current period! Suggest performing a simple pregnancy test!!!!

Probably ovulating: You are probably ovulating on the 12th day.  There are kits you can by at the pharmacy to test for ovulation (they look like home pregnancy tests).  You can also look for very stretchy clear mucus from the cervix, which occurs right around ovulation. If you take your temperature every morning before you get out of bed, you will also see a rise of about a degree.  The egg will live about 24 hours.
