Drowsiness: Lyrica (pregabalin) is a good treatment for the control of sensory symptoms (numbness, tingling etc) drowsiness at least at the beginning is a common side effect.

For what condition?: Lyrica (pregabalin) is an anticonvulsant. Its use in both neuropathic pain and epilepsy is limited. Maximum allowable dose is based on creatinine clearance.

FDA indications: Lyrica (pregabalin) has many approved indications, especially for diabetic nerve pain.  It can control certain seizures also.  It helps by controlling symptoms and events.  It does not cure underlying conditions, and, in no way, acts to "repair nerve" (although metanx may do this a bit?).  Sounds like there is a communication issue.  Clarify with your doc.

i been using lyrica on and of for a little more than a week. low doses to treat anaxti, combiend with alprzolam (once a day for three days). will this give me any withrawal symptoms. i feel allright today, and i took the last dose lyrica last eavning?

Withdrawal: I don't think you've been taking these medications in large enough doses for long enough time to risk significant withdrawal problems, but if you do, resume them and when stable start a slow taper. However, your prescribing physician is much better qualified to advise you.

my nerve pain has increased and i'm on the max dose of gralise. can switching to lyrica help, or are they too similar?

Nerve pain: Please continue to see your doctor and ask him/her about a medication change but don't make one before seeing the doc.   Please also consider natural and non-invasive treatments such as biofeedback and/or clinical hypnosis (www.asch.net).  A clinical psychologist trained in those areas can help. Discuss w your doc: This is a problem that requires a face-to-face meeting with your doctor.  In that meeting, your doctor will listen to you, perform a throrough examination and possibly order labs or other tests. Based on this information, he/she will be able to tell you what's wrong and what to do about it.

There is a good: probability that you could get addicted to it. Would  not take it.
