Symptoms?: Is there a particular reason why you had your fibrinogen checked? Have you had a bleeding symptoms? Do you have any other "abnormal" labs measuring the coagulation cascade? For most labs, the low normal range for fibrinogen is 150, so you are just below that. Without knowing more about your particular clinical situation, your level of fibrinogen is not worrisome.

Circulating Anticoag: If you meant aPTT, you may have what's called a circulating amici agility. Do not be scared. Ask questions, see a hematologist for further testing. Most times, aspirin daily is all you need. Please seek all the information you can get. Until you have answers,  DO NOT GET PREGNANT, and maybe take a baby aspirin daily until further advised by your doctors

: Nattokinase is a naturally occurring fibrinolytic enzyme found in Natto beans that is said to have multiple beneficial health effects, but there are no human studies demonstrating those benefits. Some human studies have shown fibrinogen, factor VII, and factor VIII levels were decreased, and it has antiplatelet effects. More studies are needed.

my fibrinogen is repeatedly 6 g/l. none of the other tests or inflammation markers are abnormal. what is most likely cause of stand alone high fibrinogen levels? what can i do to treat? thank you?

: I am not sure why the blood test was done, meaning inadequate information, however it is best not to treat laboratory value if you are well and no inflammatory marker of significance. Fibrinogen is a clotting factor not a disease protein why do you want to treat isolated elevated fibrinogen? Do you have abnormal menstrual flow may be what you could look at as a possible explanation.

No change?: I am thinking that without any active trauma the levels should stay stable. But, if anything it should go up, not down.  If there is a concern the discord who manages this issue should discuss it with you.

Big picture : Fibrinogen levels flucuate, are often high if you have significant inflammation, and a young woman's levels may rise at the  same time each month. I suggest you recheck when in your usual state of health. If the activated partialntheomboplastin time is still up, get checked for anti phospholipid antibody and/or specific factor deficiencies as appropriate.

Yes: The normal levels of fibrinogen range from about 150-400mg/dl.  There are normal circumstances in which the level may be higher, e.g., pregnancy.  Any  lab value needs to be interpreted in the context of other health issues and this value may not be associated with a disease.  Do consult the doctor who ordered the blood test.

Don't treat the lab: Both of these results are only marginally elevated. Fibrinogen may be elevated as a signal of inflammation but this may still be normal for you. The Parathyroid hormone level should be correlated with calcium and phosphate levels to determine if the elevation is a signal of disease or just a borderline normal.

I'd relax: Your homocysteine level is well within normal limits for most labs, and most of us in pathology aren't impressed with this as a risk for clots, atherosclerosis etc. Your fibrinogen is very slightly above reference range for baseline and would be normal if you were fighting a mild infection. Most physicians would tell you to plan on a normal, healthy life without needing anticoagulation.
