Be prepared: It is good that you have stopped.Your job from now until past delivery is to abstain and hope you don't attract the attention of child &amp; family services.When a kid under their watch presents for delivery we look at your urine, which would be clean,  and the kids poo,not blood. The poo can retain evidence from the point it was created, and a sensitive test would show it from 28wks.

Many issues: Cannabis is one of those drugs that produce problems for babies however they are exposed.It can produce sedation, weakness & poor feeding.Long them head growth in baby is impaired but the effect on development is unknown. Smoking itself increases risk of crib death & frequency of infections. You give this up to be a mom.

Hmmmm: Probably not as bad as having parents who smoke the marijuana around the infant, while they're supposed to be taking care of him/her.  Relating with a baby -- sober -- helps him develop emotionally and intellectually.  Very important to be clear yourself while parenting.

Define "out": Your baby starts making meconium after 12 weeks and that will store evidence of any drug exposure for months if not the whole pregnancy. If you stay off the radar of CFS there would be little chance anyone would look for this, but if you continue or end up on their list, the area hospitals would routinely do both urine and meconium testing.

It depends...: Half-life of thc is 2-12 days; the more often you smoke the more accumulates& the longer it takes to eliminate.For you it's probably 7-10 days.If the half life is 7 days that means 6 weeks after stopping 1/64 of it will still be there;if the  half life is 10 days 1/16 will remain.Traces will remain til delivery.
