Viruses: There are more than two hundred different viruses that are known to cause the common cold alone. The three most common types are rhinoviruses , coronaviruses, and respiratory syncytial virus. How does that help you? If you are not feeling well consider seeing your physician for an evaluation and to make sure you do not have a strep and\or ear infection.

Allergic sore throat: Sinus disease is always secondary to nasal inflammation (rhinitis). Rhinitis causes post-nasal drip which can cause throat irritation. By treating the rhinitis the post-nasal drip should decrease and the irritated throat and difficulty swallowing should improve. If the difficulty swallowing doesn't improve consider seeing an ENT specialist.

Infected tooth: The cause of your symptoms appears to be that infected tooth. You must go see an oral surgeon and have that tooth extracted.

Potentially this: could represent an allergic reaction to the medication. Stop using it for a few weeks and see if the symptoms resolve. Then try again and see if they return. If they do you will know. You can probably go for a few more weeks without increased hair growth.

Supportive care: Supportive care for a sore throat would generally consist of using over the counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen (available in tablets or liquid form-check the children's section) and cool soft fluids and foods.  Prolonged or progressive symptoms should be evaluated in a medical facility (primary care provider).

URI: This could be from many causes to include mononucleosis, strep throat &amp; other bacterial/ viral illnesses. Can't exclude COVID 19 from that list.

Needs evaluation: Anytime there is asymmetric tonsillar hypertrophy this should be evaluated by an otolaryngologist.  Most likely this is a normal variant, however may indicate a neoplasm within the tonsil.

Strep or not: Strep throat, which doctors recommend antibiotic treatment for, commonly causes fevers, enlarged tonsils with pus, enlarged neck glands, and the absence of cough/runny nose.  Viral infections tend to present with runny nose and muscle pains.  But nothing in medicine is an absolute.  Even if there is just a 5% chance of this being Strep, treatment can save you a lifetime of medical complications.

? tonsillitis: When you tonsils are inflamed, your throat is sore and enlarged making it difficult to breath and you do more breathing through your mouth making your lips dry. That being said, be sure to visit your primary doc to see if you need an antibiotic. Feel Better!
