Probably related: Although i don't know for sure, it is likely related. Many things we ingest appear in urine and are evident in color, smell, aspect, or all. Examples include penicillins that change the smell of urine and heavy dairy intake with vegetables that make urine cloudy due to phosphate load and alkaline state of urine. Vitamin b makes urine deep yellow. You can prove it by quitting and retrying in 2 days.

: Without seeing the actual ingredients of the candies, I would say that you are Most likely safe from any problems. However, if the candies contains artificial sweeteners such as sorbitol, you may end up with bad diarrhea for a day or two. You are unlikely to have any long-term problems. Good luck.

Just don't eat,: I know, easier said than done. But to avoid candy, which is really really tasty, you just have to have a lot of will power.  Candy is tasty and inexpensive and everywhere.  You just have to accept that candy is unhealthy and avoid it as much as you can.  Perhaps replace with other sweet foods, like healthy fruit.

Willpower!: It takes willpower! remind yourself that you are frequently not only eating sugar (useless calories) but sugar mixed with fat! nothing will make you obese more quickly. Don't buy it. Don't have it in your house!

Candy\ tooth decay: My brother had a great idea years ago. He would let his kids eat as much candy as they wanted but only at one sitting and only once per week. It's the amount of time that the candy is in contact with the teeth that causes tooth decay. Therefore limit it as much as possible but once per week regardless of amount is better that constantly all through the week. Sticky candies are worse that chocolate.
