Maybe . . .: While I found many online articles discussing use of fish oil in polycystic ovarian syndrome, I could only find the following peer-reviewed journal article: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3941370/. Best to discuss your options &amp; concerns w/your Family Doc, GYN or Endocrinologist. Do understand that there's a tremendous variety in fish oil dose/strength &amp; quality.

can i take vitamin a pills with a daily mulitvitamin if i also take fish oil capsules? would they be a good alternative for acne medication?

Poor alternative: You'll need to take enough vitamin A to make yourself sick (and I mean SICK) before you can expect it to clear your acne. Get a topical retinoic acid derivative for your skin rather than the overkill approach that systemic administration offers. If this doesn't clear you, get with your personal physician for help. Fish oil's your business -- the recent studies are disappointing.

Nothing helpful : Research studies have not shown effectiveness in treating behavioral problems with fish oils.  There is a tiny beneficial effect in adhd, but not enough to discontinue stimulant medication.

Controversial: The american heart association still recommends that patients with coronary artery disease take fish oil 1 gm daily; however recent data show that patients do not benefit with less heart attacks or strokes. It has also been known that fish oil increases the LDL (bad) cholesterol. At this point, main use of fish oil is to treat high tryglycerides.
