Many!: It depends specifically on what type of pain as to what natural alternatives are that are out there. However, physical therapy has always been a mainstay for treating axial and joint pain. Skin pain can be treated with natural things like arnica montana, medications like sarapin and goona are injectable pain meds that are natural. Limbrel (not imbrel) is an excellent pain medicine for oa pain.

No. : "natural" stimulants are exceedingly more dangerous to use and monitor than dextroamphetamine.  Most contain ephedra that is a dangerous chemical.  Ginseng is also a common stimulant purchased over the counter. It is also much more dangerous than dextroamphetamine.  Otc drugs are not properly regulated so variations in concentration & effectiveness are widespread. This alone makes them dangerous.

Diet?: I'm serious because people forget about diet when they are taking cholesterol meds. Healthy diet + exercise are a good start but some people still overproduce cholesterol.. For higher risk people like after a heart attack, there is no proven  alternative to a statin. Ask your doc.
