is it better if i apply minoxidil on a wet scalp? and what can i do to increase its absorbtion?

Damp not wet: Apply after your warm shower. If you towel dry your hair to remove all free standing water and then apply to a warm damp scalp with occlusion (shower cap) you will have optimized absorption. However you may experience adverse symptoms and should stop if you feel your heart racing, lightheaded, or dizzy.
BTW package instructions are to apply to a dry scalp. If so blow dry  to warm scalp

whenever i shower and let my hair air dry (or sleep with it wet) my scalp gets very itchy, and it doesn't matter what shampoo. any ideas?

A couple ....: It may be that the hot water of the shower stimulates some histamine production and contributes to the itchiness.  Also, you don't mention whether or not you are shampooing with each shower, but incomplete rinsing of soap could cause this.  Wish I had more ideas .... Good luck!

?goose egg: You likely have a local subcutaneous hematoma or bruise over the scalp, and this will resolve over the next several days.  Your description otherwise is reassuring, and does not implicate any direct brain problem.

Flaky itchy scalp: Most likely this is related to seborrheic dermatitis and one of the dandruff shampoos may help. There are a number of them with different active ingredients so you may have to try several different ones to see what is best for you. Some are: neutragena tgel, tsal; sebulex, head and shoulders, etc.  Shampoo daily. If it doesn't work see your dermatologist for medication to put on your scalp.

: First check for any scalp pathology. Avoid sleeping with wet hair. Brush your hair  when dry twice a day. Wash your hair every 3 days. Too often is just as bad as too little.  Also consult a skilled beautician for advice.

Yes: Going to bed, or just leaving your hair wet after washing or swimming is a common cause of seborrheic dermatitis, where itching is a common symptom. Best to dry your hair to prevent this from occurring.

Ichy scalp/ face/ ea: Do you have dandruff? flaking scalp?You may have a fungal infection/excessive dryness of the scalp, eczema,psoraisis( sometimes the symptoms are intermittent) .Follow up with doctor/ urgent care and discuss use of Nizoral (ketoconazole) vs, Tgel shampoo vs coal tar or  keratolytic shampoo.

Not allergic: That are many reasons for hair loss and you may need to make sure that there is nothing serious and get your blood and thyroid checked. Oily scalp makes the presence of seborrhea more likely but then hair loss is unexpected. If no iron deficieny anemia or thyroid issue, consult a dermatologist
