Yes: Cough is a protective mechanism that helps mobilize mucus and debris from deep in the lungs so it can be brought out. It can persist for a month. You should use their other parameters of feeding/play/ etc. to decide if they need to be re-evaluated.

Nothing specific: The x-ray is really just a good screening tool and sometimes picks up old issues with little if any importance but if never seen before lead to more testing to make sure no treatment is needed. Smokers can have "dirty lungs" as can asthmatics.The term "scar" is a gestimate. It might be an old calcified lymph node or something worrisome.Urgent care is not the venue to pursue a head scratcher.

i was recently dx with bronchitis & pneumonia. fever free for more than 24 hrs, but i still have a productive cough. is it okay to go back to work?

Depends: There is No definitive correct answer here, but your Treating provider would be able to best answer that question.  Depending on the time and onset of your symptoms, how many days treatment of antiBx you have had, etc all may play a role in a return to work date.  If you work alone, you may be fine, but if you are around many others in a closed space, then a productive cough would be frowned upon.

if i have 3x shots (primary + bivalent) and a previous infection, but i'm overweight and have a slight productive cough this time with covid, should i worry about pneumonia? i'm on day 4-5 of symptoms?

: You've reached day 5 without any worrisome pulmonary symptoms and that is very reassuring. Breathing difficulties would be concerning and they usually start by day 5 if they're going to happen. Inform your physician if you have any concerns going forward.

Inflammation: The coarse interstitial markings are likely from the inflammation of your lungs due to the chest cold.  This should go away after you have gotten over your chest cold and congestion.

Don't worry.: Pneumonia will give you a fever and your symptoms would have gotten worse, not better, without treatment.  It is common to have congestion and cough when recovering from an upper respiratory infection, the majority of which are caused by viruses. not bacteria.  If you get sick again, go see your primary MD for evaluation and maybe an xray, if necessary.

i had a chest x-ray done on the 2nd bcuz i had covid. i finally tested negative today. on day 13. now my cough changed from dry to kinda wet and i hear a little rattling. should i be worried about pneumonia? can it develop in 3 days ?
