Check fit: It is very important to check the fit of frames at the bridge for eyeglass comfort.  Sometimes silicone nosepads can be used or a saddle bridge to distribute the weight.  Looking into thinner plastic lenses and lightweight titanium frames can help as well.  Please see  your optician.

Glasses and noses: Wearing glasses can compress the skin on the nose. By pushing out the water in the skin, the area under the glasses pads with thin. The constant pressure can can skin atrophy and change the shape of the bone or cartilage. Some noses will have significant changes, some will not be affected.

i have dark marks on my face that i just can't get rid of. they are mostly near both sides of my nose due to wearing glasses. what can i do?

Ecchymosis: If the marks are in fact due to constant pressure from the glasses, you will need to consider changing your glasses, using contacts or giving your skin as much rest as possible and changing the rest position of the glasses often. You can also try applying Arnica lotion you can get from health store (GNC, Whole foods, etc.) since it may be due to ecchymosis rather than PIH.

my 11 yr old son has been wearing glasses for aout 1 yr now. he has a twitch on rt side w/nose & eye on rt?  any concerns?  he has astigmitism also.

No worries: He may just have some poor fitting glasses.  Eye muscle twitching is a common problem, and it can be causes by an irritation such as dry eyes or eyeglasses.

Allergic shiners?: Dark circles and puffy eyes may be a sign of allergies see an allergist for help.

swimmy/dizzy head for few years, sept. started wearing glasses, eyes have gotten worse along with dizziness. can my eyes be causing my dizziness?

Dizzy eyes?: There is a small possibility that your current glasses may need adjustment. However, in my experience eye symptoms are secondary to the dizziness and not a cause of dizziness. I would get your glasses checked. If there is no significant change in the prescription and your ocular motility is normal- I would seek a neuro-otologist for evaluation.
