Breast feeding : If you eat healthy, drink a lot fluids, make your baby suck on your breasts on regular basis  every few hrs or use a breast pump  in between you might be able to continue  breast feeding,  baby's suckling stimulates milk production.  Best wishes

Limited: With breastfeeding you should not use OCP's that contain estrogen.  There are OCP's that are progestin only and they are recommended for nursing moms.  Other options include condoms, diaphragms, spermicides, and IUD's.

hi dr my 6month old feeds 200ml formula milk plus about 90ml of water and 150ml of breastmilk daily. however, in +- 6 hours it seems like he only peed twice sometimes he goes the whole night with a dry nappy. his nappies are light instead of full.

Not enough: He should get double that amount of formula and breast milk, see the pediatrician for evaluation and calculation of amount of feeds needed, not sure if you started table food yet, wish you both wellness

Mixed response: Any external formula you give baby will reduce babies drive to feed. That can trigger a weaning in a breastfeeding mom. A better deal would be for you to do some mommy chores so she can nap when baby does so she will not be exhausted all the time.

Discontinue Cerelac: It is possible that the cerelac is thickening the milk too much and causing abdominal discomfort. Take note of exactly how many ounces your baby is drinking. A 5 month old should be taking about 6oz five times in a 24 hour period. She should not be eating anything else at this time including cerelac which contains wheat. You may want to take her to her Dr so that he can examine her.

INFANT FEEDING: I see mom is taking propranolol, carbamezipine  and propylthiouracil. All these are l-2 drugs, means she can breastfeed without adverse effects to the baby. If baby refuses to nurse, mom can pump the milk with breast pump and feed baby in the bottle. If enough milk is not there, she can supplement with formula after breast milk. Best advise: talk to the pediatrician.

Taste is subjective!: Most infant formula is modeled after breast milk. The nutrients and needs of the growing infant are the first importance.
