Electrolytes: Colon prep is not likely to affect the electrolyte balance of normal adults significantly. Drinking these sport drinks will not hurt you and perhaps help the economy.

i am a lineman for my company! what can i drink to keep hydrated throughout the day? besides water sports drinks etc!  i work 13hrs a day in the sun!

Any Commercial: electrolyte containing drink will do but make certain that you drink enough PLAIN WATER!  Follow your won body..it "tells you" when you need water...you get THIRSTY ...THIRST indicates you need plain water..sweating will result in Sodium loss as well thus the electrolyte  "drinks" during the day.. CARRY BOTH!

Depends: If a person is exercising for a short period of time and the exercise is not intense, regular water is fine.  If a person exercises for longer periods of time (marathon, ironman, etc), then it is important to drink fluids containing electolyes and sugar (to aid with absorption of sodium). If you're dehydrated from an illness and able to drink without vomiting then use an oral rehydration solution.

Sports drinks: You are better off w/water.  Sports drinks can contain sugar, artificial colors, sodium, etc.  An alternative to water would be lemonade or iced tea you make yourself.  Peace and good health.

Some may: If the labels on the bottles aren't clear about it, switch to steel bottles for drinking water. Sports equipment stores sell them. Drinking water alone isn't enough to lose weight. As you know,reducing calorie intake and exercise also are needed.

The : The art of maintaining your hydration during your workout has quickly turned into a science.  There are a plethera of "sport drinks" available for you.  Recently, pre, during and post exercise solutions have evolve. Each one claims to be designed for a specific part of your workout.
As you sweat, you lose both "water" and "electrolytes", therefore it make sense to adjust your drink to your situation.  If you are sweating more, you may want to choose a drink that tastes good and provides you with a balance of fluid, fuel and electrolytes.  If your drink is too concentrated, you will suffer from stomach issues, so try and stay with a drink that is more dilute.
A simple way to follow your level of hydration is to check the color of your urine.  If it is dark  yellow, you are dehydrated and need more fluid.

Abdominal bloating: There are lots of reasons (some quite concerning) for abdominal discomfort /bloating, but not all of them are due to the GI tract. Also, functional syndromes may be present without underlying inflammation or structural pathology.  Check with your doctor for examination ; treatment options, particularly since your problem seems to be ongoing. Not pregnant, right?

Stomach ache: Your child may be suffering from water intoxication. Take him to the ER to have his electrolyte levels checked. He could be lacking in salt
