Wart freeze: Wart freeze would work. Also can be shaved or cut using sharp scissors after numbing with ice cubes. Tying them with a thread if they are big enough is another option.

Skin: Warts are an infection caused by human papilloma virus.  They are sharp, small and often found in clusters.  A skin tag is not microscopic, it is not sharp, is most often found in places with increase skin on skin friction or clothes on skin friction.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Salicylic acid impregnated pads can be used on skin tags. Place the pad over the skin tag for 24 hours and remove and wash.  Over 1-2 weeks you should spontaneously remove the tag without pain.  Do not use salicylic acid on open wounds/inflamation. Be careful of using the patches on the face or groin.

Skin Tags: In most cases, doctors will just clip skin tags with a pair of surgical scissors. Because skin tags are usually quite small, many people don't even need an anesthetic. The area may bleed a little afterward. Larger skin tags may need minor surgery.

Hard to tell...: Skin tags do occur in the groin, as do genital warts, or condyloma.  Your local dermatologist can tell for sure.  Tags don't commonly occur on the shaft of penis, scrotum or labia and are more often in the folds or crease of the thigh.  Have someone take a look...

Let doc do it.: Wart-off, compond-w may help to get rid of it, however, not very effective. Dermatologist can do a better job.

: Probably the bumps or "skin tags" are temporarily blocked sweat glands, a condition called miliaria, also called "heat rash" or "prickly heat". Google it for more information including photos. It's harmless and will clear up entirely in a few days or sooner. If any abnormality persists longer, see a doctor, ideally a dermatologist.

i was told skin tags caused by hpv are spreadable. if so, how can i tell if its a natural tag or by hpv? i know it isn't a wart, so why can it spread?

Two distinct things: Warts caused by hpv virus are entirely different than skin tags, biopsy (histology of tissue) will easily distinguish one from other besides clinical appearance.
