Voice Rest is Key.: You can gargle with Aloe Vera juice a couple of times per day. A mixture of chamomile tea with honey &amp; a small amount of lemon juice is good. Pour boiling water over thinly sliced organic ginger. Steep for at least five minutes in a covered pot. Add 2 to 3 tbs of honey &amp; sip.

Otolaryngologist: Please get a thorough evaluation from an otolaryngologist. Your discomfort may be the result of snoring, sleep apnea, acid reflux or other problems.

And the discomfort that you feel may be in the general vicinity of the vocal cords but may truly not be arising in the vocal cords.
