You may ask your MD to run a MillineumPGT test to see if you are a low folate metabolizer. Vitamins don't replace healthy diet, water, exercise. Avoid caffeine - work on healthy sleep.

What kind of damage?: Vitamins may help with neuropathy due to specific vitamin deficiency, e.g., folic acid, thiamine or B12 deficiency but will not help with damage from other causes, e.g. mercury or lead poisoning. It would be prudent to consult a neurologist for proper diagnosis and optimum treatment.

Sometimes: If you have pernicious anemia, b-12 injections can reverse much of the nerve issues.  If you have diabetic neuropathy, a medical food, metanx which contains b-12, folate, (folic acid) and b-6 in biologically active form can help regrow small nerve fibres.  But otherwise, not sure supplements are going to make much difference.

May be factors...: Lots of causes for stress and nervousness, including poor nutrition due to diet, disease, etc. Usually not the root cause, but certainly doesn't help the situation.  Vitamin d deficiency not likely to be directly related to complaints noted. B12 deficiency can cause neutopsychiatric symptoms, not usually the ones you mention. Look for other factors as well.

every now and then, i get to where i'm sick on my stomach if i eat or don't eat. either way i get nauseated like i'm going to vomit. what is causing this? is it nerves or am i lacking some kind of vitamin, or what?

Nutrition-genetics: Like the rest of the body, our brain and nerves need good nutrition (vitamins, minerals, fats, etc).
Ensure intake of all nutrients, especially some fats that contain cholesterol (without excess) and vitamin B12 (present in animal products).
If vegan, supplement your diet with vitamin 12.
Last but not least, our genetics influence big time.In how our brain and nerves develop.

The nerves that: are being referred to are neurons, physical structures that communicate throughout the body and need vitamin B 12 and other nutrients.  The nerves you may be thinking of is a catch all term for anxiety.  That is not a permanent condition resulting from low  B 12.  A mental health professional can help.
