500-1000 mg: Interesting question- i searched for a good answer and while there is universal agreement that vit c significantly increases iron absorption, i couldn't find much info on dose except this study that found  the more c one took up to 1000 mg the better the absorption: see http://ajcn.Nutrition.Org/content/30/2/235.Abstract
14 mg is a low dose. Men should not take iron if not deficient- see comment:.

Interaction: The only interaction that i can find is that Estradiol levels maybe increased. This should not decrease effectiveness.

200- 500 MG IS SAFE: ALTHOUGH SOME CAN TAKE UP TO 2000MG DAILY TO PREVENT FLUS  - AT THIS DOSAGE AND HIGHER CAN PRECIPITATE RENAL STONES AND GI SIDE EFFECTS.
200 - 500 MG SHOULD BE SAFE

i was put on omeprazole 20mg twice daily for 4 to 6 weeks. this is for major acid reflux, is this safe? i've only seen week doses for twice a day but is 4 to 6 week excessive? i think vitamin c was the culprit for reflux, took 500mg daily but stopped?

Some patients with vitamin c deficiency develop skin rashes, itching, mouth, teeth, gum problems as it is a vital part of connective tissues and replacement can help. Similarly it helps improve anemia and improve oxygenation to skin and other vital organs. Can it help with hyper pigmentation and melasma, yes so go for it!

: Post-inflammatory pigmentation is a normal response. The pigmentation does fade but often take far longer than desired.

I doubt it: Claims that particular vitamins / minerals "strengthen the immune system" are created by advertisers with little or no real science.  Anyone who believes miracle claims for decaffeinated green tea is reading uncritically. I hope you will manage hpv scientifically; it's a real danger to life if ignored but can almost always be dealt with by today's evidence-based medicine. Thanks for asking.

Overdoses of: The fat soluble vitamins: a, d, e &k are of concern. The others, including c, are easily flushed on a daily basis. Daily dose 200mg-6gm are used.. Linus paulng advocated huge doses as a preventitive. No side effects reported. Acorbic acid is an anti-oxidant.
