i have a very strong body odor. i am hiv+. i take suboxone, effexor, complera for hiv, vistaril, viibryd, (vilazodone hydrochloride) ambien. it is affecting the people around me?

MOM may be helpful.: Suboxone, effexor, and viibryd (vilazodone hydrochloride) can all be contributing to excessive sweating that is the usual cause of body odor when the sweat interacts with skin bacteria. It is my understanding that a daily bath followed by dabbing a small amount of milk of magnesia (mom) under arms and on other high sweat areas often significantly helps. If any of the medications are stopped, a supervised taper is required.

More zonked: Be careful. Xanax (alprazolam) is a sedative. Vistaril/hydroxyzine is an antihistamine that can make you sleepy. So having both medicines on board can make you very drowsy.

Clonidine Suboxone: both agents can lower the blood pressure, lightheadedness dizziness would be symptoms of this.  Discussed this further with your local prescriber or on health tap concierge

Yes, indeed!: Did one physician prescribe all of these? If so - you need to consider another provider. If not, you need always to inform any one of them about other drugs you take. All have some risk with just about all of the others, but the worst is between Xanax (alprazolam) and Suboxone. Respiratory distress is possible even coma or death - so call your doctor(s) ASAP or go to ER or a good pharmacist w/ the bottles.

Individuals differ: Vistaril (hydroxyzine) is an antihistamine with mild sedating and anxiety-relieving effects.  It doesn't work the same as a benzodiazepine (valium, Ativan etc), but then it's not addictive either.  Some people get a lot of relief from vistaril (hydroxyzine) and similar meds; some don't.  Talk to your doctor about what works for you and what doesn't. There may be other options to explore.

if i take ashwagandha as a supplement and was prescribed vistaril, (hydroxyzine) but only take it occasionally when i need it for anxiety, is there an interaction?

Better not together: although there is a minor or non-signigicant interaction, better not to take the supplement while on the vistaril, (hydroxyzine) both together may enhance CNS depression
