Months: Visual recover after procedures like you described takes months to occur.  Speak with your surgeon who can give you a much better answer than random doctors on the internet.

Anything possible: We know cannabis affects conditions of the eye.  Is this a new symptom or have you had vision problems in the past?  My suggestion is that you speak to your primary care about this or to an eye specialist.

Don't Know: Omega 3 fatty acids are suspected to improve patients with macular degeneration.  This has yet to be proven, but a study is underway to determine this exact question. 

Look for data from the "areds 2" study due to come out in the 1-2 years.

The short answer is that nothing has been proven.

This depends: This depends on the stability of your retinal problem and the practice of the doctor.  For certain problems, like retinal detachment from proliferative vitreoretinopathy  silicone oil is left in 6-12 weeks. This is a minimum.  Patients with "severe" problems can have silicone kept in for much longer. Discuss this with your surgeon.

does bio oil really work for scar removal?

Accepted Answer

Nope! (Sorry): Scars are permanent, and there is no surgeon or surgical technique (or laser etc.) in existence that can completely remove or eliminate scars. Bio-oil is fine for gentle scar massage, which will help them soften and fade, but will not remove them! ultraviolet avoidance is critical to prevent hyperpigmentation of pink scars.

i got extra vergin olive oil in my eyes, it doesn't hurt but my vision is blurred. what should i do?

Olive oil: The blurred vision could be due to the oil or some inflammation on the cornea of your eye.  It not better then would go to your eye doctor.

i will do an earwax removal tomorrow and i used oil drops in order to soften the wax. i put way too much oil. can it be removed by the doctor?

No worries: Ear wax removal at a doctor's office will usually clear the entire ear canal if the patient already softened up the wax with oil drops or ear wax drops. There is no worry about how many drops the patient used, as everything in the canal usually comes out.

Artificial tears: Clean your eyelids and lashes with diluted baby shampoo twice a day to clean the oily glands. You can use artificial tear drops throughout the day to wash out the oily products.

hello, i have been doubting my vision lately. it seems as if something is covering my eyes. when i say this i mean like i see hazes around light bulbs that seem to be moving. as if i have a very small oil dot on my eye moving and covering me.

Ocular exam: Please start with a visit to a specialist who can examine your eyes, determine ocular pressure and retinal health. Please see a specialist right away.

It takes time: Posterior blepharitis takes time to improve. The quality of the tear lake, which is composed of meibomian gland secretions (the part you are treating), mucin layer, ; aqueous layer, aides the ocular surface to be as clear ; smooth as possible. Use artificial tears like refresh™ tears to help with part of the blurry vision, but continue with the compresses/massages. Eye doc can also rx doxycycline.
