i'm on my period and i keep having this weird vibrating sensation in my lower abdomen, what could it be? feels like a vibrating cell phone.

Unclear: Can you feel it with your hand--is it like a spasm in your abdominals? You might also try Motrin and a heating pad. Sometimes our nervous system can interpret one type of sensation (such as an ache or cramp) as a different type of sensation. I would advise an evaluation at your doctor.

Lots possible...: ...Unless you're pregnant (&amp; you are well advised to check, just to be sure). You may be describing intermittent movement of air through the gut, which some interprete as abdominal "vibrations" or "fluttering" sensations. Of course, there are easy lab and imaging tests your doctor can perform to rule out inflammatory conditions or other medical issues of concern that present similarly.

Muscular: More than likely these are harmless mild muscle contractions due to irritability of uncertain cause. You could try taking a magnesium supplement which often quiets muscle spasm. If symptoms persist, consult a rectal and colon surgeon for an examination.

It could be intestin: This could be from your large  intestine and could be gas moving about. It coud be other intestinal issues including infection, parasites,  etc. You need to discuss this  with your physician

Maybe gas in gut but: In what position do you feel better/ worse? What is the quality of pain--sharp, stabbing, pressure, bloating, gassiness?  Where in your abdomen (right, mid, left) do you experience discomfort?  Duration pain lasts?  Is pain deep or superficial?  Have you seen blood with stool or change in bowels? Any chance of pregnancy (sexually active)? Any bladder/uti symptoms? Ur doc will need this info 2 help

Incomplete digestion: Interesting observation. Would suggest making sure you get the same amount of sleep every night, meaning that if you have to wake up early you compensate by going to sleep earlier. Also keeping a food log may help in deciding if your symptoms have to do with sleep time or type of food ingested in the second part of the day.

May be UTI: It can be a urinary tract infection if she has burning or frequency of urination and pain in lower abdomen.She should see her doctor and have urine tested and if there is infection she may need antibiotics.Meanwhile she should drink lot of fluids including cranbery juice.
