Many ways: 1st: evaluation- blood test for hormones, us for fibroids, hysteroscopy for polyps, endometrial biopsy for abnormal cells. 2nd: treatment- ocp if not smoker, progesterone, iud, remove fibroid or polyp if present, meds such as lysteda, endometrial ablation, uterine artery embolization and finally- hysterectomy.

Many options: There are multiple options. Hormonal treatments such as birth control pills, Progesterone treatments and the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud are effective reversible treatments that will help many people. There is also a drug called Lysteda that contains no hormones which will help others. If you are done having children discuss the option of an endometrial ablation. In some cases a hysterectomy will be needed.

Endometriosis,: fibroids, adenomyosis, uteine polyps, etc. should be looked for. See a gyn.

Only  if low iron!: Extra iron is only indicated if your levels are low, or you have a problem with a symptomatic anemia.Heavy bleeding can cause anemia, fatigue, but it is something that occurs over time, ; not during a heavy period. However, being a teenager increases the chance of low iron, anemia. Iron can be toxic so best to get a hemoglobin level, and maybe an iron level (maybe) before taking more than in vitamin.

Possibly pregnant: Take a home pregnancy test.  They are reliable, accurate and valid.  If it's negative, repeat it in one week.  If it's still negative, see your doctor.

Lining of uterus: The shredded uterus inner  lining called endometrium could be the white stuff you saw. Menstruation is otherwise called bloody tears of a disappointed uterus , when conception doesn't happen as each cycle the uterus gets prepared under the female hormone influence for conception. Unless you have chances of pregnancy i think it is the mucosa; layer of uterus appearing in menstrual blood.

May be normal: Following a medical termination it may be normal to have irregular bleeding and discharge.  It can take 3-5 weeks for all products to pass. If having heavy bright red bleeding you need to see a physician. Otherwise, abstain from intercourse and cycles should resume to regular this month.

Not really: Is this a frozen embryo transfer embryos from donor egg? Bleeding can come from a lot of sources, sometimes the cervix instead of the uterus. Usually it is not associated with cramping.
