If you have varicose veins, then you should see a vein specialist for a f/u venous evaluation including a venous ultrasound.

Walking is good: Generally speaking people affected by varicose veins that present symptoms feel worse on standing and sitting for prolonged periods and heaviness, tiredness and ache improve by leg elevation or walking.  Other option for symptomatic relief is using elastic compression.  At times patients would also benefit from removal, ablation or sclerotherapy of varicose veins to decrease symptoms.

Stasis Dermatitis?: Varicose eczema may be another term used to describe "stasis dermatitis".  This is seen on the legs below the knees and results from poor circulation in the legs.  The blood in the veins does not circulate well and pools in the legs and can leak out into the skin.  This causes irritation and then a rash with itching and sometimes pain.  Exercise, support stockings, and topical steroids help.

Before and after: Your legs will begin to swell as soon as you the plane reaches cruising altitude and even before that as the cabin is pressurized. Putting your stockings on after that is futile. Therefore i always tell my patients to put them on before leaving your home for the airport and don't take them off until you are settled into your final destination. Drink plenty of water and walk while in the air.

Get checked first: See a vein specialist and get an ultrasound to see the cause of your problems. Compression hose, exercise and leg elevation will be suggested. Eczema: There is no miracle cure for what i think you mean as stasis dermatitis.  Topical coticosteroids can give substantial relief.  Other helpful preventive measures are weight loss, support hose and leg elevation whenever possible.

Reduction of spiders: Spider veins and varicose veins are a very common problems and there are many causes including hereditary, aging, pregnancies and even sun exposure.  Treatments may include compression stockings and horse chestnut but these are temporizing measures. For more definitive treatment, sclerotherapy or laser would be a better choice.  You should have a venous reflux exam with a vein specialist.
