Absolutely normal: yes it is normal to have dark veins  Everyone is a little different so some are darker than others but it is normal

Cannot say: without an exam, I can only give general information, and veins are quite common there. Pain, growth of spots would be worrisome features.

By examination: It is called vericocele, usually harmless, if there is fertility problem surgery may be needed.

See remark: There are bunch of veins on side of each testicle (this is normal ) In some 15% of men they extra veins,specially on the left. This condition is called  VARICOCELE . If they don't bother you do nothing.They are really not on testis but surround it.If you have any concern see your doctor or a urologist

Not serious : While perhaps personally concerning, a varicose vein on the scrotum is only cosmetic unless very large and painful. Surgical removal is possible as an office procedure with very minimal discomfort.

Epididymitis: Sounds like possibly epididymitis - infection of the epididymis.  You need antibiotics to treat this.  Testicular infections that are untreated can potentially lead to sterility.

right testicle has a vein-like structure. the urologist said it was fine; said it is more than likely an enlarged palpable vein. my question is can a single vein be literally on the testicle itself? is this ok?

? tail of epididymis: maybe what UR feeling. It would be unusual to feel a pair of veins under either testicle. Varicoceles, which feel like  "bag of worms" when standing erect usually on left &amp; above or to side of scrotum. occesionally extend under testis &amp; possibly might give impression of being under both testes. Your family Dr could check U &amp; advise.

Near the testicle...: Is the epididymis, which is composed of numerous tubes, and is palpable in the scrotum. The epididymis may harbor cysts, making it more prominent. A large one is called a spermatocele. A varicocele is a collection of dilated veins that can be felt near the spermatic cord. Usually these entities are left alone unless large or painful. See your urologist for evaluation.

No: You have varicoceles which can cause fertility problems, pain. See a urologist, he or she may order a semen analysis on you to see how your counts are prior to recommending surgery.
