Depends: veins do not pulsate It is probably the temporal artery. It all depends as to how long lasting and how long are the headaches. Is it associated with any other symptoms? If persistent get medical advvice

Likely migraine.: Arteries and veins do not hurt intermittently.  Pulsating feeling of migraine headache is perceived as artery or vein hurting.

Venous pain r head: May be ear ache, can be rarely aneurysm, migraine, ( asocaited with light sensitivity , nausea? HTN? may be vascular  Consider testing sed rate  as it may be temporal arteritis, for which ultimately a biopsy is done.  Would go to ER as at 44 the study the would do first CT or mRI can't be done in a clinic . Go to ER today

Pearly papules?: Several percent of men have a row of bumps on the corona around the glans; they are picturesquely named "pearly penile papules". They're quite normal and perhaps a "plus", if you don't like them, there's laser removal. I'll bet this is what they are. Every guy has veins and looks swollen sometimes.

Any allergies?: Sounds like a migraine since it is on one side of your head. Try 3 excedrine if no allergies. Lay in a dark quiet room to try to sleep. Sometimes ice held or gently pulling and releasing  the hair on that side can help. You can repeat the excedrine in6 hours if needed. It is best to treat these headaches as soon as you know you are going to get one and not wait for the pain. Else treat early!
