How long vaselin gau: Usually 5 to 7 days is sfficient when the healing has almost there and there is no crustness or swelling or bleeding.

5 ds ago i've a small superficial burndt steam i put mebo, today i cover it e vaseline gauze for 3 hrs&after removing it i found small blister why this?

Its a burn: Don't cover it with vaseline gauze. Pop the blister and then cover the entire wound in bacitracin. Do that 2x per day  and cover it with fluff gauze and tape if it is deep (if it is superficial, don't cover it)....Until it heals. Blisters often occur in burns. (i do wound care so that is what we do to wounds and it works).

after my circumcision, i took the gauze of and the gauze and vaseline strip are green, yellow and red. there are red n yellow stuff 2. what is it?

Normal part of heali: After any surgery there is inflammation which means fresh blood and fighting white cells go to the area and help things heal.  The fluids they bring with them leak out of the incision as it heals and get on the dressing.  Exposure to air turn them colors which is meaningless  the localized redness is also a sign of inflammation which is important to healing.

are petroleum/petrolatum based topical products safe for use in pregnancy (vaseline, chapstick, etc.)? many many internet sites pushing natural beauty products claim these are toxic. however, you find this ingredient many consumer topical products?

Yes: These products are safe and are minimally absorbed if at all.

2 boiling water burns, 5 days ago,above knee,size of index with thumb,blisters can i use tegaderm &vaseline gauze and swim safely in pool and sea?

Do not recommend : That. First off any burn would burn more in salt....SSD cream is very good for burns. 
Burn wounds can be dangerous. Must keep a close eye for infection. Tetanus history should be evaluated as well.

16mo old son has diarrhea 4 the last 2 days and has caused a terrible rash. prev medication ointment not working. aloe & vaseline & powder not fixing?

Zind oxide: Irritative rashes from diarrhea in toddlers ae amongst the most stubborn rashes to cure. Try and get some daily air into that area - let him run around diaperless outside - who cares if he poops or pees on the lawn? Then, a diaper cream that has zinc oxide may be more useful - some brand names: triple paste, butt paste, desitin, (zinc oxide diaper cream) or generic zinc oxide.

doctor said i should use 3 times vaseline a day for over exfoliated lips , other medications may irriate more.whats your opinions on vaseline healing?

Not healing: Vaseline will protect the lips from drying while they heal themselves, but it doesn't actually "heal.".

See doctor: Unusual place for fungus but unlikely to be from allergy in the absence of itching.  Consult your doctor or a dermatologist.

Not a good idea: It is not srerile ad therefore it is not a good idea
but if you can get sterile vaseline gauze that can be used, but has to be sterile.

is it possible for you to put vaseline on your anus?

Accepted Answer

Possible but: Not advisable. Vaseline is a petroleum product and I do not recommend the use of these products around the anus.
