Try vaseline: or 1% hydrocortisone ointment. If this persits, however, see your doctor. Rarely a scaly nipple can represent serious disease (though VERY unlikely in a 29 year old)

Foreign body: If it is still red, two possibilies are that there may be glass in the toe or that the infection is from a bacteria such as MRSA which may require a different antibiotic to resolve the infection.

Ouch: Put ice on your nose and take an anti-inflammatory medication such as Advil or Aleve (naproxen).

Be seen: Please have your pediatrician or er see your child this afternoon.  If there were no loss of consciousness, that is fine.  You did not mention how high the vase fell from.  If it were made of glass, you need to be concerned about  fragments and potential  injury.  
In the time until you are seen, use an ice pack on your child's nose--may also use frozen bag of peas with cloth around the bag to hel.

Migraine aura?: You could be describing the aura of a migraine attack.  It is also possible based upon your description of headaches over just the left side of face that you could be describing symptoms of a cluster though visual aura in those sorts of headaches is rare. You could also be talking about someone who has extreme photophobia for other reasons such as cataract removal which then, can precipitate HA's.

No: Probably not -- but you can certainly hurt yourself as a result of syncope so i would strongly recommend that you address the matter if you have syncope.

Syncope triggers: The triggers for syncope depends on the type of syncope. For vasovagal or neurocardiogenic syncope the common triggers are dehydration and stimulants like caffeine, nicotine, decongestants and dietary aides or supplements. As always talk your doctor for more details.

Yes, is serious: Syncope is just blacking out or fainting--the problem it can be cardiac, neurological from a long list of causes--at least it could be due to change position, low blood pressure--check with primary doctor but bring witness, video of event.
