Stasis Dermatitis?: Varicose eczema may be another term used to describe "stasis dermatitis".  This is seen on the legs below the knees and results from poor circulation in the legs.  The blood in the veins does not circulate well and pools in the legs and can leak out into the skin.  This causes irritation and then a rash with itching and sometimes pain.  Exercise, support stockings, and topical steroids help.

There are many potential home remedies such as horse chestnut, witch hazel and certain kinds of berries but none of these work.  If you have varicose veins, then you should see a vein specialist for a f/u venous evaluation including a venous ultrasound.

Walking is good: Generally speaking people affected by varicose veins that present symptoms feel worse on standing and sitting for prolonged periods and heaviness, tiredness and ache improve by leg elevation or walking.  Other option for symptomatic relief is using elastic compression.  At times patients would also benefit from removal, ablation or sclerotherapy of varicose veins to decrease symptoms.

Eczema: There is no miracle cure for what i think you mean as stasis dermatitis.  Topical coticosteroids can give substantial relief.  Other helpful preventive measures are weight loss, support hose and leg elevation whenever possible.
