has anyone read the happiness trap by dr russ harris and would it help for bi-polar?

Defuse: His books are excellent in regards to acceptance and as well changing your stance towards your attitude and thoughts.  Freeing your self up from the entanglement of unfortunately chosen and reified thoughts and metaphors can benefit anyone.  The trap can be believing that happiness should be readily and consistently obtainable.  Many do not know how to or are deeply disappointed at transience.

i had a supine mri cervical spine done and was reported as normal. i have symptoms of cervical instability and i measured cxa of 127 degrees, grabb oakes 8.9mm and harris measurement of 12.7mm, no chiari malformation. could 'normal' report be wrong?

: The numbers are not normal with MRI taken at a supine position and they are probably consistent with your condition, cervical instability; however, you should talk to the doctor who ordered the MRI or the radiologist who was reading the images.

my 10 yr old daughter has a salter harris type 2 finger fracture by the base of finger/hand. (pinky finger) & she keeps losing circulation. why?

Splinted?: Is your daughter's fracture been splinted?How do u know she's losing circulation to the finger?If u feel she is call your ors ( or whoever is on call for him) right away and explain situation or go to the er.Check w/ surgeon before loosening the splint bandage . This is something that needs examination quickly . Best of luck!

smoked from age 15 to 23 years old, now im 61, almost 40 years of no smoking, what are my lung cancer risks? are my odds higher? im always very worried about it! i would appreciate some opinions on this! thanks in advance?

: Life long smokers have a 1 in 10 chance to develop lung Cancer, so 90% remain free of Cancer. When you stop smoking, the risk of having lung cancer comes down every year.
Having left smoking for 40 yrs reduces your risk close to non-smokers. So you do not need to worry. But remember non-smokers also have a  very small risk of developing lung Cancer, but it is close to less than1%.

Low blood pressure: She is probably having low blood pressure from the medicine.  You need to monitor the BP in AM and  Bedtime and of low then the dose should be adjusted

Normal phosphorus: Serum phosphorus (p) is measured in milligrams of p per deciliter of blood (mg/dl). The normal range is generally 2.4 to 4.1 mg/dl and it  varies slightly depending on your age. It’s natural for children to have higher p levels because they need more of this mineral to help their bones develop.

Sometimes: This really depends on the boy's stage of puberty. If still actively growing, then continued voice changes are more likely.
