Thrush&vaginal yeast: Vaginal yeast infection in moms can cause thrush in babies. But adults should not ordinarily be getting thrush unless they are on antibiotics or immune suppressed for some reason.

Depends: It depends on the treatment rx'd. But usually, oral thrush needs to be treated "orally" of course where vaginal yeast infections may be treated with oral medications as well as vaginal creams.

Thrush/yeast infect: As long as the mom washes her hands there is no way to potentially transfer a vaginal yeast infection to a breastfeeding baby.    While they are both caused by yeast -  to cause thrush the organisms would physically get from the vagina into the baby's mouth.    A very UNLIKELY situation.

Candida: There are many facts missing from your description. Have you been tested for immune dysfunction? Do you have diabetes, been on antibiotics, steroids, etc.? Has your sexual partner been treated? You might want to consult with an infectious disease expert. Good luck and hope you get rid of this.

No, Thrush is oral: A vaginal yeast infection and thrush are caused by the same same fungus, candida, but thrush is oral (only the mouth), and the former only affects the vagina.  Clotrimazole can be used for both, but usually different medications are used for the vaginal infection.

If symptomatic, yes: If the yeast infection is improperly or untreated, it can stimulate the urge to urinate just like a UTI as they both share a pudendal nerve complex.

Stop using wrong med: Neither antibiotic would kill of yeast, in fact they might alter your intestinal germ balance to the point yeast infections would be more likely. Your doc needs to give you an antifungal (anti-yeast) med.

could this not be thrush? problems w/ tongue/mouth for some time(white, bleeding, dry, few constant large bumps) recently tested and treated for vaginal yeast infection; mouth problems stay/worsened after medication metronidazole and fluconazone

Unlikely: Thrush would get better after the meds you mention not worse. The first thing that comes to mind is a vitamin B12 deficiency with these tongue changes. You need to have some testing done.
