Kids can have a stress response to any vaccine.The most common offender is  the pneumococcal vaccine.The rest have improved significantly since the 1990's.

Delay doesn't mean you must start over at some point, it just means the kid remains vulnerable to the diseases they prevent during a period when their body is more vulnerable to the effect of those illnesses.The schedules are based on how early effective protective levels can be provided by the vaccines.

Rotavirus vaccine: According the Center for Disease Control Vaccine Information Statement. minor problems after rotavirus vaccine include irritability, or mild, temporary diarrhea or vomiting. i thought diphtheria had been wiped out a long time ago, but my mother says that the vaccinations are still being given. is it necessary for babies to be vaccinated?

Yes: Diphtheria is a serious disease that still occurs in other countries (meaning it is one plane ride away from us). In america, kids get vaccinated against diphtheria, and adults every 10 years with their tetanus-diphtheria boosters. So, we don't see the disease here. However, if the vaccine is stopped, the disease will be right back.
