POLYP: Unusual location. It can be removed by eent.It is outpatient or 1 day or, like tonsillectomy.

i have morning blood in my mouth and i have a pain under ribcage right.i had colonoscopy.they can t find the problem.i had 6 polyps and removed.still ?

Blood: A colonscopy can help rule out causes of bleeding in the lower GI tract, but does not explain why you have blood in your mouth or rib cage pain -- see your doctor.

hi i noticed lately that my mouth is always dry and i also has enlarged nasal polyps so my question is the dry mouth something serious ? thanks

Nasal polyps: The dry mouth is probably due to chronic mouth breathing. You should be on nasal steroid to try and shrink your polyps with oral steroids if it gets particularly bad. Surgery is an option for you if the nasal polyps are obstructive.

i recently had surgery to remove a polyp and my lip and my mouth was hurt due to the breathing tube. i have tingling and numbness in my lip,what to do?

The tingling and : numbness may be from the pressure the breathing tube was placing on the soft tissues on the lip.The feeling should come back within a week or so.If not,return to your doc and discus.

i have a tight chest, weezing and dry cough, and sinusitis. nose is continually blocked and blowing my nose continually. had nasal polyps removed more than 10 years ago.try to take antihistamines an cough mixture but no help.breathing with mouth open?

Nasal polyp: Check with yourENT physician.You may have a recurrence of your nasal polyps.

Nasal steroid?: I think nasal steroid will likely work better than a short-course of Medrol but I don't expect major changes for at least several weeks.  If you still have congestion despite nasal steroid, consider seeing an allergist.

Location ?: If in colon, most are w/o sensation... There fore dangerous to grow without knowledge of. If you are over 50, get your screening colonoscopy done. If you have a hx of family polyps follow your doc's screening advice.

Genetics environment: Genetics and to a greater extent environmental issues and personal habits can contribute to polyp formation.

Growths, prevent CA: Growths on lining of organs, stomach, uterus, commonly colon.
Most are not cancers, but most cancers in colon come from polyps that grow over time, and develop into cancers.
Best way to check is with colonoscopy to detect and remove polyps, before they can turn into cancer.  Other tests e.g. "virtual colonoscopy" available as well, but don't allow for removal. Abnormality seen, need colonoscopy.

what happens uf an ovarian polyp bursts?

Rupture: If an ovarian cyst/mass/polyp ruptures the result will depend on the contents of the cyst. If the cyst is blood filled and connected to a blood supply then bleeding can occur, which can be life threatening. Clear, infected vs cancer cells are other possiblities. Avoid this risk, indication for surgical removal, before rupture. Stay with your doc, take friend to ask questions. Be well.
