i had a lumpectomy and removal of 6 lymph nodes in 2003.  

due to an accident i have to use crutches.  is there a danger of lympodemia occurin?

Unlikely: If you didn't develop any lymph edema thusfar as a result of surgery, node dissection or radiation and its been almost ten years, it is likely that your lymphatic channels are open and healed.  There is scarring as a result of your treatments.  U could increase padding on the top of that arms crutch. You could seek out a lymph edema clinic for discussion of compression sleeves or massage technique.

Sink traps: Lymph nodes are sink traps for our bodies. If you have infection or inflammation somewhere, your friendly hardworking lymph nodes will catch bits, work on it, & swell. They may feel tender. They may not hurt at all. Example: common cold & swollen neck lymph nodes. See your doc if you're concerned, if there's not an obvious neighborhood reason why your nodes are swollen, if it's more than 3-4 weeks.

Could be: It depends a great deal on the cause. Since they are quite small(may even be normal), i would watch and check if they are growing in size any further. If they are not growing over the next few weeks/months, they may not be  cause for any concern. But if they are enlarging then you need to go see your doctor for a medical examination soon.

See your doctor: Swollen lymph nodes are usually caused by an infection. It is possible you have some sort of chronic infection, however lymph nodes that are swollen for years are concerning for lymphoma, a kind of cancer of the lymph nodes. Chains of nodes drain from different areas and it might help to know whether this is behind or in front of the muscle running diagonally from the jay angle to the collarbone.
