Electric toothbrush: At one year of age you baby may not have her full set of teeth. Using an electric toothbrush may cause undue pain to the child and the vigorous vibrations may be harmful to the tooth enamel.

Yes, you can: Toothbrushing, whether with a manual or electric toothbrush, will not affect the integrity of the root canal therapy.

Bleeding gums: You may have gingivitis or/and periodontal disease. Plaque is a sticky bio film that can be removed with a toothbrush, calculus is a harder and attaches itself to the tooth and root surface and needs to be removed professionally by a hygienist or dentist. See you dentist for an evaluation.

i use an electric toothbrush. i get cold sores frequently. how can i sanitize my toothbrush? at $22 per head i cannot afford to replace each time.

White vinnegar: Excellent for cleaning dilute. 50/50 with water half hour soak. Rinse copius amounts of water.

is it okay if children use an electric toothbrush? our five year old really seems to prefer to have that used on him, but i'm worried that it might be too hard on his baby teeth. do i have anything to worry about?

It's : It's ok but i would prefer to see you use a sonicare children's electric toothbrush.  The head is smaller and it will do a great job.  You're lucky he likes any toothbrush so go for it!

: Yes. Should be fine. If concerned, you could wait 1-2 days, but should not be a problem.

i just had scaling and root planing, can i use my electric toothbrush and water flosser ? i am used to them, if i don't use them i feel like my mouth is still dirty?

: Use all and anything else that can help you maintain your oral health. Dental floss, interdental brushes, anti- bacterial mouthwash, a healthy diet and a good nights sleep. A healthy mouth is a healthy life.

Yes: You can use any kind of toothbrush that you normally use on your teeth on a temporary crown. Be sure to also floss. If your gums are not healthy when the dentist goes to seat your final crown, it can cause it to fail prematurely.

Depends: There are basically two types of electric toothbrushes. There is the ‘rotation-oscillation' type. Braun oral b seems to be the market leaders here. The other type are 'sonic' types. Phillips sonicare seems to lead the way here. As for which type is best, it is a personal preference. Both are effective at plaque removal. I personally would prefer the oscillation type.

Every electric: toothbrush manufacturer (except the "throw away" types) has attachments with various bristle degrees of hardness/softness..
Problem is you generally have to buy the item to find out!!  Speak with your PHARMACIST ..he/she is more likely to be able to answer your question or go online and compare the brands!  Hope this is helpful!
