This is not unusual, especially for some foods like asparagus.  Increase your water intake, and urine will be less concentrated and smelly.  You may still be able to smell certain foods after you've eaten them, though.

Depending on the food you ate, it's not uncommon that urine odor would reflect this.  Your body has to process food into breakdown products so you can let go of the waste through urine and feces.  If you've ever eaten asparagus, you would know urine can smell like asparagus.  Make sure you drink plenty of fresh water and this aroma should dissipate.

As a Urologist who has had the occasion to smell urine
more than a thousand times,I hven't smelled a nutty on..But what is the urine ?
It is the byproduct of what we eat and drink.
If you eat a lot of garlic ,the urine MAY have a garlic odor.Some people may have a discernible sense of smell,hence can notice /pick-up any variation in color of smell of urine.

Strong smelling urine usually isn't abnormal, generally due to eating strongly flavored foods. If so, it should improve with diet change and drinking lots of fluids. If it still continues, you might have a urinary tract infection. Also, are you sure the odor isn't vaginal? If so, you could have bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of vaginal bacteria. See your doctor if symptoms continue. Good luck!

Symptoms of a urinary tract infection can include urinating more frequently than usual, burning/pain with urination, and foul smelling urine.  If severe, there can be fever or even back pain as the infection travels upwards towards the kidneys.  A primary care physician can diagnose and treat a urinary tract infection properly. If not infection, other less likely possibilities exist.

If your urine is very concentrated, it can have a pungent smell.  Usually this is due to dehydration, but it can also be due to infection.  If you are experiencing burning or other pain with urination, please see your doctor. Otherwise, i recommend drinking plenty of water during the day to dilute your urine.

Wow that is an interesting one.  Any other symptoms?  Smell by itself is not so concerning and may be a reflection of what you eat or drink.  If it persists I would get a urine test to clarify the issue.
