Nothing vs. somethin: It may not mean anything wrong. Certain foods can produce odor in the urine such as asparagus. On the other hand, you may have infection in your urine especially if combined with symptoms of urinary urgency, burning, frequency, pain in the abdomen or lower back, blood present in the urine. In that case, you will need to have it checked by doc.

Urine Odor: it could be from foods that are ingested. Some foods like asparagus are notorious for this. You also could have s bladder infection. You may want to see you doctor and have a urinalysis to make sure there is nothing wrong.

Be seen: It could certainly be dehydration, but there are many other things that can cause your urine to appear dark, from proteins or blood.  You need to be seen to determine if other problems are at work.

diet and medications: If the urine tests are normal and other evaluations are clear, the odor is probable related to diet.  Medications and foods can change the odor of urine.

Best to see MD: It is best to see your doctor so you can be examined and tested. You could have UTI and now going up to the kidneys or the urine problem could be a manifestation of other problems such as dm or liver problem. It is difficult to make those assumptions here.

Typical signs of UTI: Are burning, pain with urination, hesitancy. Urine can be cloudy or blood-tinged but not dark. Unless dark urine is new or all the time it is not typically concerning.

Don't know: Can get some dryness of the mouth from zoloft (sertraline) which might account for thirst but not for urine as you describe-- probably best to have a checkup-- possibly a urine for culture & sensitivity.

Sounds : Sounds like it could be a urinary tract infection.  You should have your urine sent for a urinalysis and culture.
