OK unless dehydrated: These crystals are a combination of elements that are normally in the urine, calcium and urate, causing a red/orange stain/crystal formation in the diaper. These are normal and should resolve on their own. If there is any ongoing feeding problem with your baby or if she is not making several wet diapers a day, see her pediatrician.

VERY NORMAL!: We se uric acid crystals from the day kids are born. This is normal in infant urine and absolutely no reason to be concerned. In peds we call this "brick dust" in the diapers, but often it's just a pink hue to the urine, depending on what brand of diapers and how absorbent they are. No need to worry.

Pain in both the back and leg would be quite unusual and more suggestive of a back problem/sciatica.

Depends: Hopefully you mean you had pyelonephritis earlier in pregnancy. If so, it should have no impact at all during delivery. It is a kidney infection treated with antibiotics. Once it has resolved then no special treatments or precautions need to be done during the actual delivery. If you are in labor now with a current kidney infection then antibiotics will need to be continued.
