Many possibilities : Arm pain with sleeping bursitis rotator cuff strain compression neuropathy sleeping in wrong ischemia or neural compression impingment syndrome high on list with pain with active motion  see ortho or general practice

im having upper arm pain that sometimes goes down in to my forearm. my upper arm is the most hurt part. i sleep on my left side sometimes & sometimes for too long. if i kept my arm bent wearing a sling, will that help whatever it is heal?

: This is not a simple answer with the brevity of information. To identify cause we would need additional information such as ... was there an injury; what makes it better and worse; are there other symptoms such as weakness, numbness, tingling, etc.; do you only have it when you sleep?

Not broken: Not broken, but could be a soft tissue injury, although unlikely. Give it some time and it should work itself out. If it is still persistent for more than a day, see your doctor for an exam and proper evaluation. Ask whether or not imaging or an orthopedic referral would be appropriate. Hope this helps!

: The suddenly elevated blood pressure may be now due to poorly controlled pain and subsequent lack of sleep. Your neck pain has to medically evaluated and treated properly prior to adjusting BP pills. Your main treating doc will your best reference at this point.

C7 radiculopathy: You may have a pinched nerve in the neck usually caused by a disk problem.  Examination and MRI cervical spine will probably confirm the diagnosis.  Other possibilities may be a pinched nerve in the arm such as carpal or cubital tunnel syndrome and a nerve conduction study may be helpful.

CONSIDER THIS: You appear to have diabetes, and there is a rather high incidence of peripheral neuropathy with Type 2.  You might have neck issues, such as cervical spondylosis.  The bilateral upper arm pain issue is not usually encountered in MS patients.  Would search for other answers.

Your sister MUST see her primary doctor as soon as possible.
The primary doctor can begin to improve her diabetes but she must also see the specialist who will work on the upper arm pain.
