Worrisome: The symptoms you describe are very worrisome, in particular I am concerned about possible cancer.  I would see a physician ASAP and get some blood work drawn to check counts and other labs.

Probably related: Prednisone makes the skin and blood vessels fragile, so much more prone to easy bruising with normal daily activity, for example if you sleep on the side where the bruising is. Muscle aches and fatigue can also be related either to the Prednisone itself, or to whatever condition the Prednisone is being used to treat. If the leg is also swollen, see your doctor to be sure it's not a blood clot.

: Has she had a mononucleosis test? Has a rheumatologist been involved in her workup? She may have a type of autoimmune vasculitis. Is her platelet count normal or does she have thrombocytopenia, which can also be autoimmune, and which leads to easy bruising. I feel she requires more testing &amp; an infectious disease specialist consultation.

Your habits, nutrition, sleep patterns, hormones, stress may still be playing a major factor on  your immune system.  Get to a Dr. and be evaluate asap
