my eyes dry out too quickly. been told its due to blocked tear ducts/glands. what can i do to unblock them?

Dry eyes: Are due to a deficiency or an imbalance of the three components of your tear film.  Ocular surface inflammation can also contribute to the symptoms, but this is not related to blocked tear ducts.  Dry eyes are often not curable but can be managed well with various types of drops.  You should see your ophthalmologist to discuss these treatment options.

Open ducts: You will need an evaluation by your ophthalmologist or an oculoplastic specialist who can determine the site and source of the blockage.  Sometimes an in-office simple dilation is all that is needed.  It may require treatment of a blocking infection.  Sometimes surgery is needed to establish a new opening to drain the tears into the nose.

Tear duct: Tear duct problems are usually due to blockage. Baby’s can be born with blockage and this sometimes can be cured with proper message. Sometimes a probing is necessary. Blockage can occur in adults and this is dealt with by using varied procedures determined by an ophthalmologist.

No such.: but there are many common disorders in which the tears are lacking. Sjorgren's is probably what you mean (autoimmune disease with very low tear duct activity.. dry eye syndrome). also can be a medication effect or aging.

See ophthalmologist: and have it checked.  Also if using any eye make up stop using and see if this makes a difference.

None: You should feel fine right after the stent is placed. Especially if there is no dilation.
