Test and contact her doctor, drink plenty of liquids, get plenty of rest and maintain tight control of glucose. Self quarantine till you know results and do not wait but go to ER if symptoms get worse. Early treatment is key

None: Diet pills are a bad idea in anyone but especially in a type i diabetic. The best way to loose weight is also the safest way - simply burn more calories than you eat. Your local diabetes educator and/or nutritionist should be able to help you with some ideas for doing this safely.

Protein,complex carb: Protein is an essential component of your diet, and if you are trying to gain weight, fat calories are a good way to put on weight without driving your bleed sugar out of control. Also, high fiber whole grains will help as well. So an egg salad sandwich mixed with mayo on a multigrain bred is a great mid-afternoon snack. Eat small meals frequently throughout day can also boost caloric intake.
