Alopecia areata: The usual treatment for this is NOTHING. It usually returns to normal in 1 or 2 years. You can try OTC minoxidil 2% at $4. Apply a drop twice a day.  Forget "natural". That has no meaning. Any product promoted as "natural" is not honest.

I'm worried too: You are correct.  Especially since it's painful, this is the bad staph until proved otherwise. Have her seen now.

he will listen to your medical story, examine you, and order tests. it may take a day or two to get the lab results but rest assured that your doctor will take care of you!

Get checked.: Get checked. you may have "crabs", a parasite.  It may be dirt or lint or bits of your hair product.  See your doc, or go to a beauty parlor/barber shop and ask them what's going on.

Cysts/acne necrotica: It's difficult to tell you exactly what this is without examining you, but if what you have are marble size or larger moveable knots  in the deeper subcutaneous tissue, I favor pilar cysts. The only treatment for these is surgical excision. On the other hand, if it's small pimples in the hair follicles I favor a rash like condition such as acne necrotica or lichen planopilaris. Hard spots on scalp: Without a picture and exam hard to tell- could be seborrheic keratosis and plaques. Both conditions are benign and treatable.

Not too unusual: It's not entirely unusual for the scalp to have spots that build up with dead flakey skin. Have your primary care doctor take a look. There is likely a shampoo or other topical treatment that will help.

Pin prick/tingling sensations generally indicate involvement of small-fiber sensory nerves.These symptoms require a careful work-up with detailed history, physical and testing.
