NO: however you have absorbed a lot of radiation. I suggest avoiding any other evaluations and also get a comprehensive physical exam to understand why so many tests. You are not doomed. You are over-tested.

What kind: of discrepancies?  Some radiologists may or may not choose to mention benign findings which are not clinically relevant.  Ask the radiologist who read the CT, or have your doctor ask the radiologist, to address the discrepancy.

CT: That would depend on what type of tumor you are looking for. The CT would not miss gross tumor. For example it does not miss colon cancer, but it will miss early polyps.

Probalbly not: You are at the low end of exposure and since it was over two years  it should not be a problem.

High radiation!: Ct scan does give high levels of radiation. Ct must be used only if it is  absolutely needed.

Very small risk: If appropriately used, the medical benefit of ct scans far outweighs the potential risks associated with radiation from ct scans.  We are all exposed to natural background radiation in normal daily life, and the radiation from a ct scan is not much more than the  radiation an average person gets exposed to in a year.

i've had 3 ct scans (two recently) and it looks like they might want to have another "just in case". i'm concerned about cancer risk increase. what does the current research show? does it increase cancer risk?

: Depending on the type of CT and the part of the body being scanned the amount of radiation you get will vary. Best to discuss with the local folks.  Maybe about the same amount of radiation you get when flying from Philly to LA or sunbathe for several days.
