Yes especially if a: hard workout. Not to worry. This is most common if you really push it. They feel weak and quiver, but this is short lived. Keep well hydrated and take a day off between heavy workouts.

No concern: What you are having is likely a muscle twitch of fasciluation.  They can be caused by many factors usually related to exercise/overuse or injury, nutrition/hydration etc.  There is no concern and there is no specific treatment except to reverse any of the causes by resting, stretching, eating well and staying hydrated etc.  If symptom spread then see a doctor in person.

See answer below: Isolated muscle twitching can be completely benign or can be associated with various neurological disorders. If it happened once and went away, i wouldn't necessarily worry about it. If on the other hand you notice it more frequently, i would get it checked out by a physician. Most likely, it is a brief muscle cramp from low potassium. Eat more tomatoes and bananas to see if it helps.

Stress, inactivity,,: Stress itself can cause something like this.  Many times it can lead to a stiffness or pain in an arm or hand of leg that can be inexplicable otherwise and is referred to as a neurosis.  Also being under stress might be associated with or worsened by a lack of exercise.  Exercise can help a great deal with stress and health also.  A visit to your doctor also helps.  Good luck.

Do you take any medications that could affect your potassium level, like a diuretic? Try some gentle stretching of you leg muscles, get a good night's rest, and if it persists go see your doctor.
