Unlikely: Tonic water is unlikely to help with the symptoms. If it persists you may consider getting a botox injection.

Muscle spasms: Twitching of eyelids is very common and usually not associated with neurological issues. It is a type of muscle spasm. Most muscle spasms occur due to a relative dehydration or because of inadequate vitamins or minerals. Make sure you drink at least 64 z of water daily and avoid alcohol and caffeine. Add a multivitamin/multimineral supplement daily. This should help resolve the spasms.

Sounds like: Ocular myokymia, which is quite common and self-limited usually and very annoying, but benign.  Caused most often by fatigue, eye strain, stress, lack of sleep, exhaustion, chemical imbalance, nearby infections, such as nasal or sinus, repetitive squinting, maybe blepharospam.  May respond to modification of corrective lenses.  See your ophthalmologist, if too troublesome.

Myokimia: Twitching of the eyelid is generally unrelated to  your car accident.  It is related to damage of the muscle fibers there are very thin surrounding the eye.  It is usually caused by squinting too much.  It will go away by itself.
