No antibodies: On first exposure, the body doesn't know what that is.  An rh- recipient will then develop antibodies so the next time they are exposed to rh+ blood, the antibodies are present and memory cells can make antibodies quickly against the "foreign" blood leading to a transfusion reaction.

Antibody-Ag reaction: A transfusion reaction is a reaction between donor RBC (red blood cell) antigens introduced into a recipient which has antibodies to at least one of these antigens.  Depending on the antigen, the reaction can be mild. Moderate, or severe.  A classic example is an rh reaction, where rh positive blood is given to rh negative recipient.  This can be a mistake or in massive transfusion.

Occasionally  acute pulmonary edema ensues attributed to acute lung injury(tralii- lung injury). Other organs involved in transfusion reactions include kidney  problems.

Lack of cells: The reaction of the body to foreign bodies and have transfusion reaction depends on the presence of offending allergens or that which incite reaction and the presence of receptors in the cells. Plasma would remove the cells and only the important components are there and no ABO or other systems will be triggered.

However, a high fever should be noted by the provider giving the blood transfusion and they may send the unit back to the blood bank for re-evaluation.

Thrombosis: Chest pain can ensue for 2 reasons - blood clots in the lungs or in the heart leading to low oxygen supply to the heart muscle (a heart attack) or injury to the lining of the lung (pleurisy).  Back pain in isolation is rare - generalized muscle aches due to small blood clots in the capillaries (the small arteries that caryy blood to the tissue) that lead to local muscle injury anywhere.

hemolytic; transfusion associated graft vs. Host disease (ta-gvhd);platelet refractoriness;post transfusion purpura;infectious disease;iron overload.
