Probably no problem: The valves of the heart are like one-way doors or gates. They open and close to direct the flow of blood into and out of the heart . The aortic valve is able to open and close because it has leaflets. In a normal aortic valve there are three leaflets, and because of this it is called trileaflet. During life the size of the aorta increases. The normal expansion rate is about 1–2 mm/year.

3 month old son diagnosed with mild aortic stenosis. trileaflet with slightly thickened commissures. will he outgrow this? what does the future holds?

Aortic stenosis: is a congenital deffect with which your son is born with.
No he will not outgrow it but  fortunetly  it is not severe
he will need an evaluation by a good pediatric cardiologist who will monitor this as he grows
he will  lead a normal life but will need coverage with antibiotics as a prophylaxis on the advise of the cardiologist

i had an echocardiogram today and just received my results back. i am very concerned and wondering how worried i should be. findings include: low normal left ventricular ejection fraction (est. 50%), and aortic valve trileaflet with mild thickening?

: "thickened aortic leaflets" can lead to aortic stenosis, which will cause decrease in left ventricular function and the ejection faction will be lower than "50%".  Get a referral to a cardiovascular surgeon for an evaluation prior to potential onset of cardiac failure.

: There is slight regurgitation which may indicate a slightly leaky valve. Unless associated with cardiac or pulmonary problems, this is usually followed by your Cardiologist.The aortic annulus for a child was studied and has a range of normal values. Please review with your Cardiologist. Watch for signs of shortness of breath and dizziness. Please describe the symptoms which lead to the study?

These certainly: are findings one could have on an ECHO. Without actually seeing the echo we can't say that is our interpretation. If the interpretation is accurate you have significant regurgitant mitral valve prolapse and should be followed by a cardiologist to avoid long term adverse outcomes.

MVR: This surgery is done quite well by experienced cardiac teams. With appropriate choice of patient, appropriate procedure and follow up most patients do quite well. As with any surgery certain things increase the risk of the surgery and complicate the risk benefit evaluation.
