Depression: For severe and refractory depression ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) can be an effective treatment. Basically, after being given an anesthetic, electric current is given which causes a brief seizure. This sounds barbaric, but in fact it often reboots the brain relieving major depression.

No: Has a psychiatrist prescribed electroconvulsive therapy ( ect). Ect is not usually recommended for paranoud schizophrenia. It can be presribed for severe depression. It may have been recommended if you also have severe depression. Make sure you see a psychiatrist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Anxiety Symptoms: It could be a symptom of anxiety.  However, you should consult with your physician first, so that you don't ignore a possible medical problem.  It's not a good idea to ignore a symptom by thinking it might be anxiety, especially if a person is hesitant to talk to a medical doctor.

Prob not Nexplanon: That is not a known risk of Nexplanon and it seems unlikely that it is related especially if it was a one time thing. If it continues schedule a follow up with a primary care doctor.

when i sneeze i get what feels like mild electric shock across chest/down arms, but today i sneezed & the "shock" was extreme- electric pain for minutes, tears in eyes & had to pull over car - normal? what could cause? (i have autoimmune stuff)

neck issues since 2 weeks.now having right side nerve pain from neck->tonsils->back of jaw->ear.but its continuous pain(burn) not electric shock.have mild issues with swollowing as well. can glossopharyngeal neuralgia be mild?or is it something else?
