i just went running and got a huge blister. should i leave it or put something on it or what?

Either is fine: You can unroof the blister, or you can allow the skin to slough off on its own. The most important thing is to consider your shoe wear, your socks, and your running technique. If you are getting blisters, something is amiss with one or more of the above. Make sure that you have a good pair of running shoes and socks that are appropriate for your gait. I am a runner, and asics are my  favorites.

Blister: Open sores and breaks in the skin are best treated with gentle daily cleansing, application of a ointment such as aquaphor, vaseline or antibiotic ointment such as polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) and covering the wound with a bandage.  Change the dressing 1-2 times a day until the skin has fully healed over for best results.

if have a popped blister at the back of my heel from running. how can i get it fixed and sorted out asap as i am training for a big race?

Blister Runner: Rule out any general medical problems? OK. If the blister is closed, put a bandaid over it (there are some over the counter 'blister bandaids) - worth checking out. If you try popping it you run the risk of infection, so be careful. It may pop and drain on its own, and dry up. You can also do what some skiers do: Put a small baggy over your sock to decrease friction.

i have really bad and big blisters from running a race yesterday and they are still oozing pus. should i bandage them or let them air out? they hurt

Blisters: If your blisters are actually draining pus, thick yellow material then you need to see a doctor.  If it is a blood blister then you need to make sure to clean them up with soap and water. I would keep them wrapped as they need protection as well as keeping them clean. I would recommend buying "adaptic" dressing as it will keep the gauze from sticking.

Cover or dry it out: If the blister is still raw, consider using some kind of cover - like a bandaid or something gel-like (eg. Spenco second skin).  If the blister is drying out, you probably don't need to put anything on it and your sock will protect it.  Just avoid anything that may be the cause of friction and/or irritation that resulted in the formation of the blister to begin with.

Avoid More Trauma: Do you best to avoid more frictional trauma to the area. This may mean finding a creative solution for padding the area (there are special bandages made for this purpose), avoiding or changing your footwear, or even treating the area with medicated ointments if the skin is really broken down. Hope this helps!

Hematoma: This is a blood filled cyst most likely (hematoma) that did not resorb on its own.  They can calcify and remain permanent in some people.  Depending on how long they have been there, even removal may continue to have color changes.

Bite?: Sounds like a bugbite. Since it's only been there 9 hours it's nothing to worry about. You can treat with hydrocortisone (if it itches) and/or a healing ointment like Neosporin or Vaseline (if it's open and raw).

Athletic wear: If you do not have an athletic bra, then please get one or two that are soft and that hold you well and comfortably tight; if you are running with an athletic bra, then it seems that the fit is not quite suitable; meanwhile, take care of the blisters; be sure these do not break down further.
